Huaca Pan de Azucar o Huallainarca. A pyramidal pre-Inca shrine built with small adobe bricks shaped like maize grains.The museum has interesting exhibits. (Nicolas de Rivera 201 - San Isidro. Tel. 4404887) |

Huaca Pucllana o Juliana. Another pyramidal monument apparently serving ceremonial and administrative purposes in the earliest stages of the Lima culture. (Gral. Borgono, cuadra 8 - Miraflores, intersecting Av. Arequipa, cuadra 45) |

Pachacamac. The shrine dedicated to the god Pachacamac had major ceremonial significance in pre-Inca times. The Incas later built the temples of the Sun and the Moon, yet allowed their vassals to to continue worshipping their own god.
